The Indian River County Volunteer Ambulance Squad provides free non-emergency transportation for ambulatory and wheelchair-bound passengers from their place of residence to and from medical appointments within Indian River County.
Our Mission
The Indian River County Volunteer Ambulance Squad (IRCVAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the provision of safe, courteous, on-time, nonemergency transportation for County residents to scheduled medical appointments throughout Indian River County. IRCVAS is funded strictly by donations, and no fee is charged for any transportation.
Transportation Requests
IRCVAS recommends at least a two-week advance notice to schedule times for transportation to and from medical appointments. The earliest scheduled pickup is 8:30 AM and the latest ride home is 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. All requests must be made by calling (772) 231-1230.
